Advanced clinical judgment ensures safe and accurate results.

Technologists demonstrate technical proficiency while focusing on patient comfort, cooperation, and trust through skilled assessment, clear communication, and compassionate care. They maintain adherence to local, state, federal regulations and institutional policies for patient privacy and safety. Timely imaging supports interdisciplinary teams effectively.

In a dynamic department environment, the role involves working independently and collaboratively amid interruptions and multiple tasks. General knowledge of MRI equipment aids in responding to traumas and hospital emergencies. Proficiency in human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.

Contributions include performing specialized procedures and supporting staff orientation and mentoring. Well-developed time management prioritizes assignments within standardized procedures to meet deadlines. Familiarity with systems like RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS enhances efficiency.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist Program or Magnetic Resonance Program
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist OR ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist OR ARRT (MRI)
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • SGMF-CVENI Certified Venipuncture
  • General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Written and verbal communication skills to explain information to diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of computer applications including RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
