80% FTE, 32 hours per week with Monday–Friday day shifts and variable start times. Saturday and Sunday shifts 8:00AM–4:30PM on a reasonable rotational basis at UWH. One hour call response time in rotation with other sonographers, supporting coverage across the Madison area.

Collaborate with teams of health care professionals to provide positive experiences for all patients, families, and visitors. Join the Cardiovascular Imaging Lab accredited by the IAC in both Echo and Vascular Imaging. Work at a variety of locations including Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and several clinics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ultrasonography program
  • Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS, RDCS, RVT, or RVS)
  • Basic Life Support/CPR
  • Completion of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasonography training program (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or relevant health sciences field (preferred)
  • Two years of cardiovascular imaging experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide optimal cardiovascular imaging experience as part of a dynamic team
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology for structural heart procedures including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements
  • Support Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures
  • Collaborate with health care professionals to ensure positive patient, family, and visitor experiences
  • Operate in IAC-accredited Cardiovascular Imaging Lab for Echo and Vascular Imaging
  • Deliver coverage across Madison area locations including Level 1 Trauma Center and clinics
  • Respond to on-call requirements with one hour response time at UWH
