About this role

This position performs prescribed MRI imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. Provides support and coordination of staff and area functions, and may serve as a physician liaison.

Performs age-specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols as an essential MRI Technologist responsibility. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians, and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns and responds to adverse events or changes in patient status.

Acts as a day-to-day mentor and resource for staff within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students. Covers chief tech duties as assigned.

Performs quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing preparation. Demonstrates proficiency in specialty exams and edits MRI scanner protocols. Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system-level workgroups.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in healthcare or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • 2 years in MRI experience
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT
  • CPR from American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Benefits

  • Sign-on bonus eligible: $30,000 with 3-year commitment
