About this role
Performs routine diagnostic, technical and/or special radiographic procedures at a general skill level. This part-time evenings role requires weekends and supports patient care through imaging expertise. Essential functions focus on quality and safety in diagnostic radiology.
Conducts radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Performs beginner-level diagnostic procedures in operating room, complex portables, or trauma. Schedules cases, positions and transfers patients safely, immobilizes as necessary, and practices radiation safety.
Properly processes images using digital technology and evaluates for technical quality, maintaining a repeat rate under 6%. Collaborates with departments on projects to improve care and efficiency. Demonstrates commitment to safety regulations and error reduction.
Provides age-specific patient care across the life span and complies with policies, quality, and infection control standards. Enhances growth through educational programs, in-services, and workshops. Delivers outstanding service, fosters teamwork, and takes call as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT Upon Hire
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire
- Accredited program in radiologic technology Upon Hire
- Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span
- Ability to assess and interpret patient age specific data
Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns
- Performs diagnostic procedures in operating room procedures, complex portables, or trauma procedures at a beginner level
- Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations
- Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure
- Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures
- Properly processes images using digital technology
- Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%
