The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers. Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology is essential. Operate scanner to obtain images used by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Select appropriate imaging techniques, operate console and peripheral hardware, enter and monitor patient data. Obtain images, produce film records and backups, transfer to PACS stations. Work alongside dedicated team of board-certified subspecialty radiologists while providing excellent customer service.
Demonstrate competency in job-related skills, utilize equipment for safe environment, adhere to policies and procedures. Advance your skills in fast-paced setting with creativity and latitude required. We can’t wait to meet you!
Requirements
- Registration as a MR Technologist by the A.R.R.T. or ARMRIT
- CPR certification
- 1 year in fast paced MRI environment preferred
- Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable with prolonged sitting, frequent standing and walking
Responsibilities
- Operate magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and operate console and peripheral hardware
- Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media
- Obtain images, produce film records and backups from disk to storage media
- Transfer images from disk to PACS stations
- Maintain accurate study documentation
- Demonstrate competency in performance of job-related skills and provide excellent customer service
- Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations
