About this role
Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust seeks Band 6 Radiographers with a passion for X-Ray to join the dynamic and friendly x-ray team. Primarily based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, one of the largest on the south coast, with rotation to community sites including Gosport, Fareham and Petersfield. Out of hours working required, including nights, weekends, lates, earlies and bank holidays on rotation.
Manage staff and resources in a designated clinical area, supervising radiographers, students, apprentices, RDAs and APs up to 25. Conduct examinations across clinical specialities on various patient types as autonomous practitioner or in multi-professional teams. Use discretion for additional or specialist techniques when clinical circumstances necessitate.

Requirements
- BSc (Hons) degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiology
- Hold a current state registration certificate
- Portfolio evidence of CPD
- Post graduate experience
- Extended clinical role or management training
- Minimum 18 months post graduate experience (desirable)
- NHS experience (desirable)
- High levels of concentration required
Responsibilities
