Oversees the clinical practice and patient care delivery with 24-hour accountability, authority, and responsibility for technical operations of the Cardiac Cath Labs. Manages human, fiscal, and material resources. Implements policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.

Assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and other miscellaneous procedures. Operates the physiologic/hemodynamic monitoring computer and scrubs for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within two (2) years of hire date
  • Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Prior experience with coronary angiography, coronary intervention, and peripheral vascular intervention
  • Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation

Responsibilities
