About this role

This full-time Interventional Radiology Technologist role supports the organization’s mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy in our Providence, RI surgery center. Assists physicians in a variety of interventional radiology procedures. Responsible for operation and quality control of radiological equipment per policies and training.

Performs preparation activities for patients and procedure rooms in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Reviews patient orders to determine needed materials and supplies. Sets up procedure trays with interventional equipment and cleans rooms post-procedure.

Explains procedures to patients, addresses concerns, and assists with positioning, shaving, and prepping. Acts as scrub assistant during procedures, administers fluoroscopy while maintaining sterile technique. Inputs patient data into C-Arm and transports patients to and from rooms.

Processes x-ray images for archiving and ensures medical records accuracy. Supports quality standards through Continuous Quality Improvement and regulatory compliance. Offers sign-on bonus, quarterly bonus opportunity, tuition assistance, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

  • ARRT certification
  • RI State License
  • Ability to operate radiological equipment and perform quality control
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures
  • Proficiency in maintaining sterile technique
  • Experience with fluoroscopy and C-Arm
  • Compliance with HIPAA policies and standards

Responsibilities

  • Performs various activities necessary for the preparation of the patient and the procedure room for radiology procedures
  • Reviews patient specific procedure orders to determine materials/supplies needed
  • Sets up/stocks the procedure room/procedure trays with needed supplies and interventional equipment
  • Explains procedure to the patient, answers questions and addresses patient concerns
  • Assists physicians during interventional procedures as scrub assistant and administers fluoroscopy while maintaining sterile technique
  • Inputs patient data into the C-Arm
  • Processes x-ray images and archives to the image repository
  • Provides outstanding quality of patient care through Continuous Quality Improvement and regulatory compliance
