About this role
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for delivering technical support and maintenance services including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations. The role documents detailed service activities, working under direct supervision and prepares for service visits to achieve first-visit resolution. The role takes an active role in addressing customer escalations and feedback.
Executes moderately complex service tasks in the field while ensuring full compliance of Service Delivery Processes and delivering services effectively and efficiently. Participates in Corrective Maintenance and maintains and completes the PM Schedules within the stipulated time frame for designated area. Implements FCOs of the respective modalities and acts as a support resource to other FSEs.
Reports all necessary technical and administration information including Call Completion, Call Reporting, PM, FCO, and Installations as per norms to the Modality Leader and Territory Manager. Coordinates the process of Spare parts Sales with the Customer assisting the Territory manager, Operations manager, and CS Sales Support. Manages Strategic Key Accounts and ensures timely escalation of issues via SMAX and CFMS.
Supports business growth by identifying sales opportunities, value-added services, and system upgrades while promoting them to customers. Continuously expands product knowledge to maintain high standards of service and technical expertise. Ensures personal acceptability by the customer in appearance and behaviour in accordance with Philips Health Systems policy and safety standards.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of Cath Lab and X-Ray modalities for troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to perform installations, commissioning, and first-visit resolutions
- Proficiency in maintaining PM schedules and implementing FCOs
- Skills in documenting and reporting service activities accurately
- Experience handling parts, test and measuring instruments with proper documentation
- Competence in customer escalations and managing key accounts
- Familiarity with field service processes for medical imaging equipment
- Adherence to health, safety, and patient safety regulations
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance of Service Delivery Processes and deliver services effectively and efficiently

- Implement FCOs of the respective modalities and support other FSEs for implementation
- Perform installation, commissioning, and handing-over of Cath Lab and X-Ray systems
- Report technical and administrative information including call completions, PMs, FCOs, and installations
- Coordinate spare parts sales and identify opportunities for system upgrades
- Manage key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain uptime records
- Escalate issues timely in SMAX, track product quality issues, and conform to safety standards
