About this role
Prime Healthcare is seeking Radiology Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to support and expand hospital-based imaging services across Greater Chicagoland area hospitals. Recruiting across multiple radiology service lines including Interventional, Breast Imaging, and Diagnostic. Welcome candidates for collaborative, high-quality, patient-centered environment.
Hospital-based practice features diverse case mix of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency imaging. Interpret diagnostic studies like CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine. Perform image-guided procedures and breast imaging interpretations as role-specific.
Strong collaboration with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and referring physicians. Modern imaging equipment and advanced technology support daily workflows. APPs integrated within Interventional Radiology and procedural services.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams for timely patient care and reporting. Opportunities for full-time and part-time roles position-dependent. On-call coverage as required enhances service across multiple hospital locations.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
- Fellowship training preferred for subspecialty roles (IR, Breast Imaging)
- Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges and credentialing
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- Active or eligible Illinois licensure
- Experience in Radiology or Interventional Radiology preferred
Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies (CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine)
- Perform image-guided procedures for Interventional Radiology roles
- Conduct breast imaging interpretation and procedures for Breast Imaging roles
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with Interventional Radiology and procedural services
- Perform patient evaluations, follow-ups, and documentation
- Coordinate care with radiologists, nursing staff, and referring providers
